Objectives
The cmoo-j project tries to gather and correct some features of well mature CASE tools like Rational Rose, Omondo, Argo UML, etc. Its main objectives are XMI and skeleton code generation (language independent), and graphic representation of sofware in any modeling language. From an end-user point of view, it is intended to have a user friendly lightweight interface, with many UML oriented features like use case, class, colaboration, and components diagrams, as also the ability to create projects accordingly. Its usability benefits from many optimizations made in the drawing functions, thanks to some state machine techniques and to the use of its main architectural pattern: the Model View Controller (MVC) pattern.
